Admin – Calendar Templates & Role Capabilities

This page is just for you as the builder. It shows the base calendar layouts and explains what each role can do on their calendars. Remember:

Personal profiles have one calendar – their personal “My Plans” calendar.
All other profile types (Entertainer, Venue, Tournament Host, Pro Services) effectively have two calendars:
- A role calendar (public-facing, used for search, events, specials, availability).
- A page-two personal-style calendar that looks like the Personal calendar and tracks saved events / plans for that profile owner.

Personal profile calendar (My Plans)

Used on Personal profiles and reused as the page-two calendar for other roles.

Shows events the user has marked as Going or Interested.
Shows private bookings they created (e.g. hired a DJ for a party) – these do not go into public search.
Personal users do not manually create events here – events appear from things they follow/book/save.

Used on Personal profiles and page-two calendars for other roles. Shows events you're going to, interested in, and private bookings.

Entertainer calendars

Entertainers have a role calendar (public schedule) and a page-two personal-style calendar that mirrors the personal My Plans calendar.

/app/_components/CalendarEntertainerTemplate.tsx

Entertainer role calendar – main schedule that powers Upcoming Events, Find Events search, and Hire Local Talent.

Entertainers can create public events (shows that go into Find Events and their Upcoming strip).
They can create private events (weddings, private parties) that appear on their calendar but do not go into public search.
They can mark specific days as “Available for hire”, which are used by the Hire Local Entertainment search.
One event can be their Highlighted Event, which appears in followers' feeds and the Upcoming Events strip.

Entertainer calendar template

Shows public shows, private events (hidden from search), and "available for hire" days. Powers Upcoming Events and Hire Local Talent.

In the real Entertainer calendar, clicks on a day will open the event builder, and public events feed the Upcoming Events strip and search.

(Page two) /app/_components/CalendarPersonalTemplate.tsx

Entertainer page-two calendar – looks exactly like the Personal My Plans calendar, but attached to the entertainer's secondary page.

Shows events they themselves plan to attend or follow (not just the ones they are performing at).
Shows private bookings where they hired someone else (e.g. they hire a photographer).
No public search or discovery logic hangs off this page-two calendar.

Venue calendars

Venues also have a role calendar for shows, hosted nights, and specials, plus a page-two personal-style calendar for their own saved plans.

Venue role calendar – main house schedule powering Find Events, Venues & Specials, and followers.

Venues can create public events (live music, karaoke, trivia, etc.).
Venues can create daily/weekly specials (wing night, kids eat free, etc.).
Premium venues can mark Highlighted specials that push to followers and featured specials carousels.
Premium venues can post gigs to the Gig Board (looking for talent for specific dates) – the accepted gig will create events on both entertainer and venue calendars.

Venue calendar template

Shows shows, hosted nights, and specials. Highlighted specials drive premium "featured specials" carousels and followers' feeds.

Shows events the venue account has saved or is watching (e.g., other local events or tournaments).
Can show private planning items (not shared in public search).
Uses the same layout as the Personal My Plans calendar for consistency.

Tournament Hosts have a tournament schedule calendar plus a page-two personal-style calendar.

Tournament Host role calendar – shows qualifiers, weekly series, finals, and other structured events.

Hosts can create tournaments with structure, dates, and buy-in.
Future detail pages will include rules, player lists, brackets, and results.
These tournaments feed into the Tournaments / Hosted Nights searches.

Used for poker, darts, pool, cornhole, esports, and other tournaments. Each row will link to a full tournament detail page.

Pro Services calendars

Pro Services have a booking & availability calendar plus a page-two personal-style calendar.

Pro Services role calendar – shows booked jobs and days marked as “available for hire”.

Pros can log booked jobs (weddings, catering, rentals, etc.).
Pros can mark certain days as available for hire, which the Hire Pro Services search will use.
This calendar is the backbone for their future booking and availability system.
